MONTHLY MEETINGS

The mainstay of the organization is our monthly workshop and critique session, hosted every 2nd Sunday* at a local establishment.  Locations will posted on the Monthly Meeting Information page and the Monthly Schedule page.

 

We typically start with a short workshop at 2pm, followed by a song critique session, ending up with the regular Sunday evening open mic

The critique meetings

​

Every month we meet to share our work (one song each) and get comments from our songwriting peers. A group of people who are passionate about the art and craft of songwriting will give you insights you will not get from friends and family! In turn as you critique others songs, you will learn more about what makes a song work, and how to make your song resonate with others.  Members who bring in a song (a song that is still in progress) for critiquing should also have about 30 copies of the lyric sheet to pass around.  Songs can be performed live or played on our CD player.
