We had a small turnout at the May 6, 2018 meeting on Sunday with 9 people in attendance and 4 live performances. We want to thank everyone for spending their afternoon with us. One guest member, Kenn Neyland, attended for the first time. We hope he will consider joining HSA in the near future.

A special thanks goes out to Ron Tintner who emceed the meeting and presented a very interesting presentation on “Song Maps” by Simon Hawkins. Ron also had the members do an exercise on Song Collaborations. Some of the members had never collaborated before and expressed their appreciation for having an opportunity to learn something new. Four collaboration teams were formed with each team creating a new song. There was not enough time to finish the songs but perhaps they will continue to work on them and present them at the June meeting. We would love to hear them.

Our next monthly meeting will be on Sunday, June 10, 2018, when we will resume with the regular critique sessions and Song of the Month Contests.
