APRIL SONG OF THE MONTH CONTEST AND VOTING IS NOW OPEN - Ten songs have been entered into the contest. You may cast your votes for your 2 favorite songs on the HSA website at www.houstonsongwriters.net by clicking on the Song of the Month Area. Anyone (current and former HSA members) registered in the Members Area with a “Y” status is eligible to vote in the contests and offer constructive suggestions to your fellow songwriters. They will appreciate hearing from you. Voting closes on Wednesday night, May 1, 2019. Good Luck to everyone! REMINDER - Due to Mother’s Day, the May meeting will be held on the 1st Sunday, May 5, 2019, at JP Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX, 77077. Doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. There will not be a regular critique session or Song of the Month Contest for May. The May meeting is dedicated to live performances only, workshops and forming new collaboration teams as follows:

2:00PM – 3:00PM

The critiquing session will be 1 hour for live performances only (no CDs or recordings) – so bring your music-makers (instruments!). Don’t forget to bring 30 lyric sheets to pass out to the members. First come, first served, so come early, since only a limited amount of songs can be critiqued during this time.

3:00PM – 6:00PM

The rest of the meeting will be dedicated to workshops, further discussions and forming new collaboration teams, etc.
