Attention HSA Members,
Congratulations to the September 2019 Song of the Month Winners, Andrew Fischer, for his song titled CAROLINE, and to, David Hanshaw, for his song titled BABY GIRL. Both winning songs will automatically be entered into the 2019 Song of the Year Contest. A special thanks to the 10 members who participated in the voting process.
We hope to see you at the next regular meeting on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at JP Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77077. The doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. Please note that JP Hops House is an establishment that sells and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, however, it is not permissible for anyone to bring in any type of liquid beverages, including water. If you bring a song for critiquing, please come early and provide 30 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members. Our Mini-workshop will be given by Andrew Fischer called 3 Rules for Writing a Great Chorus.
NOTE: The October Meeting closes out the 2019 Season and will be the last Song of the Month Contest for season. Our new season for 2020 will start with the November 2019 Meeting. If you have any winning songs in the 2019 season and have made changes, please upload your final MP3 and lyrics by clicking on the Edit Icon in the Members Area. Please do that by mid-October. These are the recordings that will be placed on the HSA Yearly Compilation. If you have any questions or problems uploading your final copy, please do not hesitate to contact us as soon as possible.
