REMINDER OCTOBER 2019 SONG OF THE MONTH VOTING: -
You still have time to cast your votes for your 2 favorite songs in the October Song of the Month Contest on the HSA website at www.houstonsongwriters.net by clicking on the Song of the Month Area. Anyone registered in the Members Area with a “Y” status is eligible to vote. Your fellow songwriters will appreciate your participation. Voting closes on Wednesday night, November 6, 2019. If you have any problems logging in, please send us a message at contact@houstonsongwriters.com and we will be happy to help you. This is the last Song of the Month Voting for the 2019 Season.
IMPORTANT 2019 ANNUAL VOTING – The 2019 Year End Annual Voting will start on November 10, 2019 for the Song of the Year, Collaboration Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, but don’t forget to listen to the October Song of the Month winners that will be added on November 7, 2019. Instructions for the Annual Voting will be sent out through the HSA bulk email listing. If you have not already done so, please add your email address to our HSA email listing by going to the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. All nominees (including collaborators) in any of the three categories MUST VOTE in all three categories in order to stay in the Annual Contests.
HSA NOVEMBER MEETING – We hope to see you at the next regular meeting on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at JP Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77077. The doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. Please note that JP Hops House is an establishment that sells and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, however, it is not permissible for anyone to bring in any type of liquid beverages, including water. If you bring a song for critiquing, please come early and provide 30 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members.
NOTE: Our new season for 2020 will start with the November 2019 Meeting, however, uploading of the songs presented will open a few days after the Annual Contest Winners are announced at the December Christmas Party on December 8, 2019.
