Congratulations to the October 2019 Song of the Month Winners, Andrew Fischer, for his song titled SO LONG ISABEL, and to, Geoff Simpson, for his song titled MISSING CONNECTION. A special thanks to the 15 members who participated in the voting process. The October Contest closed out the 2019 Season.
NOVEMBER MEETING - We hope to see you at the next regular meeting on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at JP Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77077. The doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. Please note that JP Hops House is an establishment that sells and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, however, it is not permissible for anyone to bring in any type of liquid beverages, including water. If you bring a song for critiquing, please come early and provide 30 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members.
IMPORTANT - 2019 ANNUAL VOTING – The 2019 Year End Annual Voting will start on November 10, 2019 for the Song of the Year, Collaboration Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Instructions for the Annual Voting will be sent out through the HSA bulk email listing. If you have not already done so, please add your email address to our HSA email listing by going to the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. All nominees (including collaborators) in any of the three categories MUST VOTE in all three categories in order to stay in the Annual Contests.
