Attention HSA Members,
The Houston Songwriters Association’s Board Members recently met to discuss continuation of having our Monthly Critique Meetings either on-line, or in person, or a combination of both in the coming months.
At this time, we will continue with the on-line critiques for the month of June, on June 1, 2020.
I have been in contact with Pam and Jim concerning their reopening of J P Hops House. We have notified them of our June On-Line meeting and advised them we will re-evaluate our position as soon as possible in reference to the 2ND Sunday of each month beginning with July, and beyond.
We realize some of our members may not be comfortable with a face-to-face meeting at this time, given the current situation concerning Covid-19. So, we are considering the possibility of having a combination of on-line and face-to-face meetings in the future. That way, we can still have people at the meetings, if there is a reasonable attendance, to present their songs live or recorded and those that cannot attend in person will be able to present their songs for critiquing on-line. All songs must continue to be uploaded on the website for entry into the Song of the Month Contests. As things change, we will continue to keep you informed.
