THE HSA APRIL REVISIONS ARE NOW CLOSED AND APRIL 2022 SONG OF THE MONTH VOTING IS NOW OPEN - TO VOTE, go to the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net, click on the Members Area and please read the Voting Guidelines for the Song of the Month voting before casting your votes. All members who upload a song MUST VOTE in that month’s contest to keep their song in the monthly competition. Songwriters or collaborators cannot vote on their own songs. You can only vote once a month. To cast your VOTES for your 2 favorite songs, click on Monthly Voting (in green); click on the arrow to vote for your first choice selection; then click on the arrow to vote on your second choice selection. You must vote for 2 different songs; then click on Cast Vote (in red). If you have any problems, please contact us immediately at contact@houstonsongwriters.net. April voting will close on Saturday night, April 30, 2022.
HSA ON-LINE MAY MEETING - The HSA On-Line Meeting for the May Song of the Month Uploads and Comments will start on May 1, 2022. All information will be posted on the website on that day along with the Song of the Month Winners from the April Contest.
HSA FACE-TO-FACE MAY MEETING - We hope to see you at the next regular Face-to-Face Meeting on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at JP Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77077, and we hope to record it through ZOOM, if possible. Reminder, in view of Mother’s Day, our May meeting is the 1st Sunday instead of the 2nd Sunday.
Only members who are current in their HSA membership dues may bring a song for review and comments from the attendees. Please come early and provide 30 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members. Since the Covid19 mask restrictions have been removed, please do not hesitate to wear a mask if you wish to do so. The doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. Please note that JP Hops House is an establishment that sells and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, however, it is not permissible for anyone to bring in any type of liquid beverages, including water. Minors under 21 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult, 21 years and over.
