Attention HSA Members:
The HSA August 2020 Song of the Month Voting is now open on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. YOU HAVE ONE WEEK TO VOTE. Voting will close on Monday night, August 31, 2020. 14 songs have been entered in the August Contest. Your fellow songwriters will appreciate your participation.
To VOTE, click on the Members Area and please read the Voting Guidelines listed on the Voting Page. To cast your VOTES for your 2 favorite songs, click on the VOTE (in blue); then click on the arrow for your first choice selection; then click on the arrow to vote on your second choice selection. You must vote for 2 different songs; then click on Cast Vote (in red). If you have any problems, please contact us immediately at contact@houstonsongwriters.net.
REMINDER – SEPTEMBER MEETING
We will continue to have an HSA On-Line Meeting and Critique Session for the Month of September starting on September 1, 2020. There will not be a face-to-face meeting at J P Hops House during September.
HSA WEBSITE MEMBERS AREA FORUM
We would like to remind everyone to take advantage of the HSA Members Area Forum where you can make postings or discuss anything related to songwriting, collaborations, posting your own songs/lyrics, songwriting articles, etc. and receive notifications of postings from other members as well. To receive notification of new postings, follow these instructions:
From the Home Page, in the upper right-hand corner of the home page you will see either “Log In” or, if you are logged in, your name. You do need to be logged in to do this.
Click on the down arrow to the right of your name. A small window will pop up.
Click on “My Account”. A new page will open. You can manage your account information here.
Click on “Settings” (left hand side of the page). A new page will open. On the right-hand side of the page are all of the Notification settings for your account.
To be able to receive Notifications for all of the Forums, turn all of them on (Click on each one so that the checkmark is visible). You may need to scroll down to see all of them.
Next, go to the “Members Area” and make sure you are “Following” all of the forums. When you see a number shown on the bell at the top right area of the website bar, it means that a member has made a new post in the Members Forum, click on the bell to see what was posted.
