Attention HSA Members:
THE JANUARY SONG OF THE MONTH VOTING IS NOW OPEN – 6 songs have been uploaded in the January Contest. Your fellow songwriters will appreciate your participation. Voting will close on Wednesday night, February 5, 2020.
IMPORTANT – You must be a Registered Member on the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net, in order to listen to the songs in the Song of the Month Area. If you previously signed up before these changes were made and are unable to access this area with your current Log In information, you will have to Sign Up again. To “Sign Up”, click the “Log In” feature at the top upper right side of the page then click on the “Sign Up” area. Once you “Sign Up”, please use the “Log In With Email” feature using your email address and password.
At this time in order to VOTE in the Song of the Month Contest, you must be current in your HSA Membership Dues. If you paid membership dues in 2019, you should currently be listed as a Paid Member but don’t forget to renew your annual dues as soon as possible. To cast your VOTE for your 2 favorite songs, click on the Members Area and click on VOTE (in blue); click on START; click on the arrow for a list of the songs and click on your first choice selection; then click on the arrow to vote on your second choice selection. You must vote for 2 different songs; then click on Cast Vote (in red). If you have any problems, please do not hesitate to contact us as soon as possible at contact@houstonsongwriters.net .
We hope to see you at the next regular meeting on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at J.P. Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX. Doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. The topic for the mini-workshop will be a short video on “Sensory Writing”. If you bring a song for critiquing, please come early and provide 30 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members.
Reminder: ANNUAL RENEWAL MEMBERSHIP DUES – This is also the time for renewal of Annual Membership Dues. You may Renew your membership dues of $35 on-line through PayPal on the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net, or you may bring your payment to the meeting (cash or check) or mail your check to Houston Songwriters Association, P. O. Box 1471, Sugar Land, TX 77487-1471. Thank you all for your membership and participation in helping to make HSA successful.
