Congratulations to the November 2021/2022 Song of the Month Winners, Warren Hanson for his song titled “Cinnamon River” and to Wallace Chase for his song titled “But I Did”. Honorable Mention goes to Melanie Broussard for her song titled “Darkness Get Behind Me”. Thanks to the 15 members who participated in the voting process.
HSA JANUARY MEETINGS –
Our HSA Online Meeting will open on January 1, 2022 on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. Currently, we hope to have a Face-to-Face meeting on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at JP Hops House, 2317 S. Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77077. The doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. If you bring a song for review, please come early and provide 25 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members. Please note that JP Hops House is an establishment that sells and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, however, it is not permissible for anyone to bring in any type of liquid beverages, including water.
IMPORTANT – Face-to-Face Meetings -Due to the covid situation, if you have not been vaccinated, please wear a mask and practice social distancing. If you have been vaccinated, you may wear a mask if you wish to do so. As a concern for all of our members, the HSA Board of Directors have decided to follow the Harris County / City of Houston COVID-19 Data Tracking. If the levels reach 2 and above, we will have to cancel the January Face-to-face meeting at JP Hops House. We will send out notices as soon as possible, so please, read the notices we send out through our HSA email messages, Facebook pages and News Area on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. You can also check with Harris County on their website page at https://covid-harriscounty.hub.arcgis.com/ for the current Covid-19 levels.
ANNUAL RENEWAL MEMBERSHIP DUES - January is also the time for renewal of Annual Membership Dues. You may Renew your membership dues of $35 on-line through PayPal on the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net, (click on the Members Area, bottom right side of the page) or you may bring your payment to the meeting (cash or check) or mail your check to Houston Songwriters Association, P. O. Box 1471, Sugar Land, TX 77487-1471. Thank you all for your membership and participation in helping to make HSA successful.
