THE HSA OCTOBER 2020 SONG OF THE MONTH VOTING IS NOW OPEN - TO VOTE, go to the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net, click on the Members Area and please read the Voting Guidelines listed on the Voting Page. To cast your VOTES for your 2 favorite songs, click on the VOTE (in blue); then click on the arrow for your first choice selection; then click on the arrow to vote on your second choice selection. You must vote for 2 different songs; then click on Cast Vote (in red). If you have any problems, please contact us immediately at contact@houstonsongwriters.net. This is the last Song of the Month Voting for the 2020 Season. October voting will close on Saturday night, October 31, 2020.
REMINDER - Once the October Song of the Month Winners are determined, ANNUAL VOTING for the HSA 2020 Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year and Collaboration Song of the Year Nominations will begin on November 6 through November 30, 2020. The Annual Winners will be announced in December. You can begin listening to the Song of the Year and Collaboration Song of the Year nominations at any time, but don’t forget to listen to the October winners that will be added on November 1, 2020.
NOVEMBER ON-LINE MEETING - The November on-line meeting will kick off the HSA 2021 Season beginning on November 1, 2020 (for the 2021 Season). You will be able to Upload, Critique and Re-post your songs during the Month of November (specific dates will be provided), however, voting for the November uploads will be done after the 2020 Annual Voting is completed.
SPECIAL THANKS - In spite of all of the changes we’ve had to make during 2020, we want to thank all of you for being patient and hanging in there with us. It has been a new learning experience of what can happen without much warning, but our Webmaster, Danny Liggett, has done an amazing job of getting us through it by closing out our original website and further developing a newer and better one almost seamlessly. Because of Danny’s love and dedication to HSA, we have been able to have all of our monthly meetings throughout the year, without missing a beat!!! He has spent many hours (of hair pulling and sleepless nights) developing our on-line meetings and simplifying our program in such a way, that what used to take a full page of instructions, now takes one click of a button! WOW!!!! Thank you, Danny Liggett!!!
