Attention HSA Members,
THE HSA OCTOBER VOTING IS NOW OPEN - TO VOTE, go to the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net, click on the Members Area and please read the Voting Guidelines for the Song of the Month voting before casting your votes. All members who upload a song MUST VOTE in that month’s contest to keep their song in the monthly competition. Songwriters or collaborators cannot vote on their own songs. You can only vote once a month. To cast your VOTES for your 2 favorite songs, click on Monthly Voting (in green); click on the arrow to vote for your first choice selection; then click on the arrow to vote on your second choice selection. You must vote for 2 different songs; then click on Cast Vote (in red). If you have any problems, please contact us immediately at contact@houstonsongwriters.net. October voting will close on Monday night, October 31, 2022, which also closes out the HSA 2022 Song of the Month season.
IMPORTANT: Once the October Song of the Month Winners are determined, ANNUAL VOTING for the 2022 Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year and Collaboration Song of the Year Nominations will open on November 1, through November 28. You can get a head start listening to the nominees at any time by clicking on the Song of the Month area showing the nominees at the bottom of the page for each contest. Don’t forget to also listen to the October Winners that will be added on November 1, 2022.
HSA ON-LINE NOVEMBER MEETING – The Online November 1, 2022 Meeting will start off the HSA 2023 Song of the Month Season for uploading and comments. All information will be posted on the website on that day along with the Song of the Month Winners from the October Contest.
HSA FACE-TO-FACE NOVEMBER MEETING - We hope to see you at the next regular Face-to-Face Meeting on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Kojak’s Fine Foods, 1912 W. 18th St., Houston, Texas 77008. The doors open at 1:30PM and the meeting starts at 2:00PM. Only members who are current in their HSA membership dues may bring a song for review and comments from the attendees. Please come early and provide 30 copies of the lyric sheets to pass out to the members.
