Attention HSA Members,
Congratulations to the HSA June 2020 Song of the Month Winners, Andrew Fischer, for his song titled HALLELUJAH and to Anna Beavers for her song titled TOGETHER! Beginning with the June Contest we are also acknowledging, Honorable Mention, for the song with the 3rd highest number of votes, which goes to David Hanshaw for his song titled I’M SO CONFUSED. A special thanks to the 20 members who participated in the voting process.
Our Houston Songwriters Association’s July On-line Meeting is now in session. Go to the Home Page on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net at the bottom right side of the page, click on the blue area “On-Line-Critique Process” to see the video presented by our President, Danny Liggett.
There is also information concerning how the On-line and/or Face-to-face Meetings will proceed in the future while we are still in the mist of the coronavirus pandemic, so please listen to Danny’s video through the end. We hope you also enjoy the Youtube video presented for our July Mini Workshop.
The July Schedule for the Song of the Month entries are as follows:
July 1 – 7 Upload songs for submissions and critiques by members
July 8 – 14 Songs can continue to be critiqued by members
July 15 – 21 Songwriter can revise their song, if necessary
July 22 – 31 Voting for July Song of the Month
We hope that all members will participate in critiquing the songs as they would if we were having the meeting at J P Hops House. Members who participate in the on-line meeting in any aspect will received the same recognition as being in attendance at any regular HSA Monthly Meeting. Please also continue to support your fellow members by voting in the monthly contests.
