Congratulations to the HSA September 2021 Song of the Month Winners, Patricia Bishop and Jesse Navarro, for their song titled FEELING THE SAME WAY TOO and to Jay Harris for his song titled WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING. Honorable Mention, for the song with the 3rd highest number of votes, goes to Andrew Fischer for his song titled ANNABEL LEE. OCTOBER ON-LINE MEETING - The HSA On-Line Meeting and Critique Session for the Month of October is now open. All information is posted on the website. Click on the “MEETING INFORMATION” and “ONLINE CRITIQUE PROCESS” areas for more details. All on-line meetings will continue on the 1st of each month.
The October 2021 schedule for ALL of the Song of the Month entries are as follows:
October 1 – 11 Upload songs for submissions and critiques by members
October 1 – 17 Songs can continue to be critiqued by members
October 18 – 23 Songwriters can revise their song, if necessary
October 24 – 31 Voting for October Song of the Month
IMPORTANT - Please note that the October Song of the Month Session closes out the 2021 HSA Season. The November 2021 Meeting will start the HSA 2022 Season. Also, the 2021 end of the year voting will begin in November. There will be 22 Song of the Month Winners for 2021, so please try to get a head start by listening to the 2021 Song of the Month Winners that are posted as soon as you can.
THERE IS NO OCTOBER FACE-TO-FACE IN PERSON MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JP HOPS HOUSE – Due to concern for all of our members, the HSA Board of Directors have decided to follow the Harris County / City of Houston COVID-19 Data Tracking. When the levels reach 2 and above, we will not have a face-to-face meeting for that month, but will continue with the Monthly Online Meetings. We will send out notices as soon as possible, so please, read the notices we send out through our HSA email messages, Facebook pages and News Area on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. You can also check with Harris County on their website page at https://covid-harriscounty.hub.arcgis.com/ for the current Covid-19 levels.
