Congratulations to the HSA July 2021 Song of the Month Winners, Paul Boedeker for his song titled WEEKEND IN MEXICO and to Bucky Goldberg and Marietta Roebuck for their song titled WANDERING HEART. Honorable Mention, for the song with the 3rd highest number of votes goes to Ray Wyatt for his song titled THE DATE. A special thanks to the 24 members who participated in the voting process. AUGUST ON-LINE MEETING - The HSA On-Line Meeting and Critique Session for the Month of August is now open. All information is posted on the website. Click on the “MEETING INFORMATION” and “ONLINE CRITIQUE PROCESS” areas for more details. All on-line meetings will continue on the 1st of each month.
The August 2021 schedule for ALL of the Song of the Month entries are as follows:
August 1 – 12 Upload songs for submissions and critiques by members
August 1 – 18 Songs can continue to be critiqued by members
August 17 – 23 Songwriter can revise their song, if necessary
August 24 – 31 Voting for July Song of the Month
IMPORTANT – THE AUGUST FACE-TO-FACE IN PERSON MEETING IS CANCELLED. – Due to concern for all of our members, the HSA Board of Directors have decided to follow the Harris County / City of Houston COVID-19 Data Tracking. When the levels reach 2 and above, we will not have a face-to-face meeting for that month, but will continue with the Monthly Online Meetings. We will send out notices as soon as possible, so please, read the notices we send out through our HSA email messages, Facebook pages and News Area on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net. You can also check with Harris County on their website page at https://covid-harriscounty.hub.arcgis.com/ for the current Covid-19 levels.
