Attention HSA Members,
Congratulations to the HSA November 2021 Song of the Month Winners, Jay Harris, for his song titled MY LOVE and to Ron Rost, for his song titled A DREAMER OF DREAMS. Honorable Mention, for the song with the 3rd highest number of votes, goes to Kari Loya for his song titled OUR TRAIN STILL GOES. A special thanks to the 16 members who participated in the voting process.
Our Houston Songwriters Association’s January On-line Meeting/Video will open on January 1, 2021. You can view the schedule for the January submissions, etc. on the Home Page on our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net at the bottom right side of the page, by clicking on the blue area “On-Line-Critique Process” to see the information.
The January Schedule for the Song of the Month entries are as follows:
January 1 – 11 Upload songs for submissions and critiques by members
January 1 – 18 Songs can continue to be critiqued by members
January 19 – 24 Songwriter can revise their song, if necessary
January 25 – 31 Voting for January Song of the Month
We hope that all members will participate in critiquing the songs as they would if we were having the meeting at J P Hops House. Members who participate in the on-line meeting in any aspect will receive the same recognition as being in attendance at any regular HSA Monthly Meeting. Please also continue to support your fellow members by voting in the monthly contests. REMINDER: The November Song of the Month entries started off the HSA 2021 Season.
This year, if you are interested in purchasing a 2020 CD Compilation of the Song of the Month Winning Songs, you can order one on our website in the Song of the Month area through Pay Pal. The cost will be $15 each, and the CD will be mailed to you at the address you provide.
January is also the time to renew your 2021 Yearly Membership Dues. You can renew them on-line on the website at www.houstonsongwriters.net , click on the Members Area and scroll down to the bottom and click on Pay Your Annual HSA Dues.
