Attention HSA Members,
Congratulations to the HSA October 2021 Song of the Month Winners, Warren Hanson, for his song titled I’M NOT CRAZY (I’m Just In Love) and to Ray Wyatt for his song titled HONEY-DO. Honorable Mention, for the song with the 3rd highest number of votes, goes to Buddy Trotter for his song titled MORE THAN JUST A MEMORY. A special thanks to the 16 members who participated in the voting process. You can hear the songs for the October winners on the Home page of our website at www.houstonsongwriters.net .
The November On-line Meeting, which begins the HSA 2022 Season, is now in session. All information is posted on the website. On the Home page, click on the “MEETING INFORMATION” and “MONTHLY SCHEDULE” areas for more details. There will not be a Face-to-Face Meeting in November.
The November Schedule for the Song of the Month entries are as follows:
November 1 – 14 Upload song for submission and comments
November 1 – 21 Continue to comment on the songs
November 22 – 30 Songwriter can revise their song, if necessary
December 1 - 12 Voting for November Song of the Month
THE HSA 2021 ANNUAL VOTING IS NOW OPEN through November 28, 2021. - Please click on the 2021 ANNUAL AWARD NOMINEES (areas in red) shown on the Home page, Song of the Month or Members Area of the website to view the names of the songwriters and listen to their songs in each of the three categories; Collaboration Song of the Year, Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. You must vote for your two favorites in all three of the categories. Songwriters cannot vote on their own song or songs they collaborate on. Songwriters who are nominees in any of the categories MUST VOTE to keep their nomination valid. TO VOTE IN THE ANNUAL VOTING go to the Members Area and click on “ANNUAL VOTING”. Please make sure to read all of the guidelines and instructions shown in each area. (Note: Voting for the November Song of the month will begin on December 1 through 12.)
